If your pet is eligible for 4 weeks of free pet insurance you will have been notified at the time you completed the animal's registration. You can opt in by selecting the appropriate box.
Those who opt in to the free insurance receive a confirmation email sent by the insurance providers, Agria Pet Insurance, and the policy is displayed in your Animal Tracker account page. The policy details are also sent out by post.
"Vet's fees for injury" and "advertising and reward costs" are covered immediately. "Vet's fees for illness" cover commence 14 days from the start date of the policy. The free cover expires 28 days after the policy start date. Policies can be extended past the free coverage and customers who opt in to the free cover agree to be contacted by the insurance provider to discuss this.
